Teaching Philosophy

It is my goal to inspire, and develop, life-long learners. I find the inquiry into God’s “Mind” through the study of various science disciplines and scientific principle, tied with the search for God’s “Heart” in the study of our Catholic faith to be extraordinarily rewarding and energizing. I am most excited to share in these endeavors with your children at St. John’s. You can expect your child to encounter high expectations and standards, along with an emphasis on individual respect and moral clarity in my classroom.

Personal Biography

I am blessed to have been raised in the idyllic environment of small town Northern Colorado. Following graduation from the University of Colorado, I was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Navy. After spending nearly thirteen years on active duty, all on the east coast, I left active duty and returned home to Northern Colorado with my family. Continuing service in the Navy Reserves, I retired in the fall of 2013. Upon returning to Colorado, I worked in technical management and leadership for an electronics manufacturing company before purchasing a business, which we have operated for over fourteen years.

My wife Beth, and I, have been blessed with eight wonderful children, ranging from ages 21 to 10. Most all of our free time is centered around a wide variety of family activities.
