Education is the highest goal to which an individual or a society can aspire. In my view, education is an invaluable asset and a lifelong experience. I believe that each student possesses unique talents, and that these are gifts from God. Our job as educators is to provide learning opportunities and a learning community which enable students to be successful in life, and to live up to the full potential of their God-given gifts. Educators do best when they themselves are passionate learners. It is my desire that the students I teach will know that I value education, and will experience my passion for learning. I feel very blessed to be here at St. John’s, and hope to facilitate learning by being reflective, consistent, respectful, positive, genuine and enthusiastic.
My childhood was spent in New Jersey, where I attended Catholic schools for ten years. I received a BA in Sociology from the University of New Mexico and a MA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado. In addition, I hold endorsements in Linguistically Diverse Education (ESL) and Special Education. Prior to teaching at St. John’s, I taught the primary grades for Weld County School District #6 in Greeley, and third grade at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Fort Collins.
