What I love most about working at St. John’s:
I love the support I get from my colleagues, weekly mass, and daily prayer.

Where I’m from:

I was born in California. I’ve lived in Missouri, Nevada, India, Florida, Ethiopia, and Fort Collins, Colorado in that order. My paternal family is from and lives in southern Sweden.

Interests and Hobbies:
I love watching detective shows from the U.K., hiking with my little dog Banjo and my husband Douglas, traveling, learning new languages, and starting new sewing projects that never seem to get finished.

A personal note:
My husband and I have been married for 6 years.

Favorite prayer:
My favorite prayer is the St. Francis prayer:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
