St. John the Evangelist Catholic Preschool
St. John the Evangelist Catholic Preschool and Junior Kindergarten strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment that stimulates spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of the young child as a whole. We maintain a program where children learn the art of cooperating together. Emphasis is placed upon developing positive social relationships with peers and adults.
In order to provide the best experience for each preschool student, space in the preschool is limited.

Who We Are
This is not your typical child care or preschool, but rather an early learning program based on love, support and a low student teacher ratio designed to make your child feel at home while growing up. We value the opportunity to set a course for young children to succeed in school and life in the coming years and hope that their early beginnings at Saint Johns will be both memorable and rewarding. We promote Christian values through integration of prayer, Scripture and faith experiences into all areas of learning and to develop in our students a sense of their identity as Catholic Christians in a secular world.
We recognize parents as the primary educator of their children, and strive to involve them in the care and education of their children.
Skills are taught through a thematic approach with emphasis on variety and various learning modalities. A combination of small group instruction and whole group activities allows the children to develop as cooperative learners. Experience fosters a safe learning environment and fuels the children's natural curiosity and desire to learn.
It is our philosophy that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring and discovery. Each child is viewed as a unique person and supported and encouraged to follow his/her own time for growth and development.
